Overall
The Rune system is a set of gems that enhance a hero's power and unlock in Chapter 4-36. There are 3 types of gems: Epic, Legend, and Immortal. Each hero can equip a maximum of 9 Runes. Heroes can equip gems based on their tier.
Ex: Only Epic heroes can equip Epic gems.
Players use Obsidian Ore, a new material, to roll Runes. Obsidian Ore can be earned through AFK rewards, event rewards, in-app purchases, ...
Rolling once costs 300 Obsidian Ore, while ten rolls cost 3000 Obsidian Ore.
Epic Rune
The Epic Rune is the lowest tier among the three types of Runes. It bears a Race icon, and for a hero to benefit from the stats, the hero's race must match the Race icon on the Rune.
Epic Runes only enhances 3 basic stats: ATK, HP, and DEF.
The gems will be identical and enhanced based on three basic stats: ATK, HP, and DEF but vary in Races randomly.
Legendary Rune
Legendary Runes bear a Race and Class icon. Starting from the Legendary Rune, Runes are categorized into 3 types: Blue, Red, and Yellow.
Regarding Race-related stats, similar to Epic Runes, they enhance the basic stats of DEF, ATK, and HP.
However, the stat type changes based on the Rune color: Def for blue, Attack for red, and HP for yellow.
Class-related stats vary depending on the Rune color and provide a specific bonus for each class.
Ex: Legendary Rune of Blue color with the Human - Assassin icon + 8.6% Def and 10% Crit Dmg.
If a hero equips a Rune that doesn't match their class or race, the stats are based on the matching class or race.
Ex:
- A Blue Legendary Rune with a Race icon of Beast and a Class icon of Warrior will grant + 8.6% Def to Beast heroes and an additional stat for Warriors, such as 5% Reduce CC.
- If a Beast-Ranger hero equips the mentioned Rune, they will only receive the Race Stat. Conversely, an Elf-Warrior hero will receive only the Class Stat.
Immortal Rune
The Immortal Rune bears Race, Class, and Hero icons.
Race and Class icons function similarly to Legendary Rune.
The Hero icon provides exclusive bonuses for the hero featured on the Rune, including unique stats and skill upgrades (Checklist here: Immortal Rune For Each Hero)
The unique stats depend on the Rune's color. Each Hero owned a maximum of 9 runes (3 Blue, 3 Red, and 3 Yellow). When possessing an Immortal Rune, the Rune starts at level 0 and can be upgraded to level 3, unlocking additional stat bonuses for the hero.
Upgrade Rule: The Rune can only be upgraded when the hero has equipped all 9 Immortal Runes with the hero's icon on them. Excess Immortal Runes with the same hero icon become materials for upgrades using the formula:
Immortal Rune A Level 0 + Immortal Rune B (level 0, matching the hero icon of A) -> Immortal Rune A Level 1.
Skill Upgrades: Having a specific number of Immortal Runes with the hero's icon unlocks skill upgrades at milestones of 3/9 and 9/9 runes. However, to unlock these skill upgrades, the Hero Immortal must reach the Ultimate tier.
Recycle
Recycling is a system allowing players to discard unused Runes.
Players can manually recycle or use Auto recycle, which immediately removes newly rolled Runes to prevent inventory overflow.
The exchange rates are:
- 1 Epic Rune = 10 Obsidian Ore
- 1 Legendary Rune = 50 Obsidian Ore
- 1 Immortal Rune = 150 Obsidian Ore
Immortal Runes of a hero can only be recycled when the hero has equipped all 9 Immortal Runes and upgraded them to level 3.
